Be sure to stop by The Dinosaur Company’s pop-up dhop, where families can browse a variety of dinosaur-themed treasures, keepsakes, fossils, toys, and educational items to take home as a memento of the day.

1:00 – 3:00 pm l Fossil Excavation Experience with Sci-Tech Discovery Center

Step back in time with the Sci-Tech Discovery Center for a hands-on prehistoric adventure! Discover fascinating fossils, compare your footprint to a life-size dinosaur track, and experience what it’s like to be a paleontologist by excavating a fossil using authentic tools. The Sci-Tech Discovery Center will also have giveaways available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
 
4:00 pm – 7:00 pm | Dinosaur Sand Bottle Craft with Playful Kids Club

Make-and-take your very own dinosaur themed sand bottle art.
Craft reservations are available at 4 pm, 5 pm, and 6 pm.

5:00 pm – 7:00 pm | Hands-On Fossil Exhibit with The Dallas Paleontological Society

The Dallas Paleontological Society will join us for a hands-on fossil exhibit and answer questions from children and parents alike! Children are encouraged to touch these fossils and engage with Kate Fenton, Education Committee Chair of the Dallas Paleontological Society.

6:30 pm | Presentation from The Dinosaur Company

Are you left wondering how these animatronic dinosaurs are made? The Dinosaur Company is offering a 30-minute presentation and Q&A session to explain the production behind these life-like creatures. Bonus creatures will be joining in on the presentation, including the famous Coelophysis Cece, Cera the Triceratops Puppet, and interactive fossils.
 
7:00 pm – 8:30 pm | Movie Night on The Video Wall

Settle in for a movie night under the stars at our 920-square-foot video wall as we screen Jurassic World (2015, rated PG-13). Grab a blanket, find your spot on the lawn, and enjoy the adventure on the big screen. Please note that lawn chairs are not permitted.
 When you’ve worked up a dinosaur-size appetite, Ice House, Lounge by Topgolf, Ryder Cup Grille, and Margaret’s Cones & Cups will be open during the event for guests to grab a “bite” to eat.

Dinosaur Day Color Contest at Margaret’s Cones & Cups  l  August 22 – September 6

Calling all future paleontologists and young artists! From August 22 through September 6, stop by Margaret’s Cones & Cups to pick up a special dinosaur coloring sheet and enter this year’s Dinosaur Day Coloring Contest.

Kids are invited to color a designated Juvenile Triceratops coloring page for a chance to have their artwork come to life in an unforgettable way. One lucky winner will have their unique design professionally recreated and hand-painted onto a life-sized animatronic Juvenile Triceratops, which will make its debut at Dinosaur Day in The District at PGA Frisco on Saturday, September 19.

Whether your dinosaur is bright pink, rainbow-striped, or covered in spots, we can’t wait to see your creativity. Submit your completed coloring sheet at Margaret’s Cones & Cups by September 6 for your chance to bring your dinosaur to life!
