Come to Machine Sewing 101!About this EventIn Machine Sewing 101, we will learn the basics of threading, tension, stitch length, and machine maintenance. We will also discuss how to choose the right fabric, thread, and needles for your future projects. And of course, we will practice sewing on a variety of fabrics! If bringing your own sewing machine, please indicate this at enrollment and list brand and model number if you can find it easily.Students will have access to supplies dyed from materials sourced right here at the Art Farm. This class is part of our Art + Agriculture Series. Art + Agriculture classes explore the connections between art, agriculture, and ecology and the ways that these connections build a sense of place. We're thrilled to host Jane for this class!This class is held at the Art Barn at the new Alchemy Art Farm at 45 Hawthorne Lane.
