The Big Tell Showcase 2025

The Big Tell is a regional filmmaking program offering grants for the production of 5 to 8-minute short documentaries that feature stories from California’s great Central Valley.

This year, we awarded 10 grants of $5,000 each for the creation of short films showcasing the incredible people, places, and activities that make the Central Valley so remarkable. Winners had three months to complete their short films and received one-on-one mentorship from award-winning local filmmaker and previous TBT grantee Angelica Hernandez.

Now it's time to showcase all their documentaries on the big screen! This year, we're returning to the historic Tower Theatre in Fresno. Admission is FREE, but RSVP to get reminders and updates! For more information, please visit https://TheBigTell.org

The Big Tell 2025 is presented by the James B. McClatchy Foundation, the Central Valley Community Foundation, and Valley PBS.
