Palm Sunday

Join us for the beginning of Holy Week on Palm Sunday, with Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem on a donkey (in contrast to the Roman Governor’s war horse) and crowds waving palm fronds in celebration and laying cloaks on the ground (a sign of honor). Jesus embodies his message that the empire of God is so different from the empire of Rome that God’s rule of love stands in stark contrast to the emperor’s rule of control and violence. Palm Sunday is March 29, and our choir is preparing a cantata of music from "The Messiah."
