- **Event Description**: Discover the intriguing craft of clay coiling at our class on Saturday, March 14, from 12 pm to 2 pm. This ancient hand-building method, originating in the Early Neolithic era, involves rolling and stacking ropes or cylinders of clay to form ceramic vessels. This technique allows for the creation of unique, often asymmetrical shapes without using a pottery wheel. 

No previous experience is needed. Our clay expert, Cindy, will demonstrate coil techniques with sample plates and pots. Participants can then recreate one of these vessels or design their own.

The class costs $30 per person, is non-refundable, and includes one kiln firing. Painting your piece with acrylics is free of charge, but glazing and a second firing will cost an additional $15 per item, payable upon item pickup. Registration is required. Feel free to bring snacks and drinks; creativity enhancers such as wine are allowed for those aged 21 and over.
