Rancho del Agua Caliente will be open to all 4th grade families for $5 per family on Saturday, April 18th, 2026 from 10:00am – 2:00pm.

The rancho once belonged to Fulgencio Higuera during the rancho period of California’s history. It is now owned by the City of Fremont. 

Come out to dip candles, design a brand, form an adobe brick, and brand a cow using paint, felt and authentic brands. You can even try your hand at roping the steer! There will be docents onsite, as well as a video about park restoration, and the museum will be open. Plus, you can play a round of horseshoes. 

Come see an adobe building (built in 1840) and learn about the hide and tallow trade.

We are located at 47300 Rancho Higuera Road in Fremont.

Great for students both exiting AND entering 4th grade, plus their families! Come one, come all. Feel free to bring a picnic lunch. 

Donation of $5 per family is greatly appreciated.
