Lace up for a run that goes the extra mile! The Fremont Family YMCA’s Annual Turkey Trot isn’t just about crossing the finish line—it’s about making a difference right here in our community. This Thanksgiving, your steps support youth programs, childcare services, senior wellness initiatives, and financial assistance so that everyone can access the Y, regardless of their ability to pay. Whether you choose the 1-mile family walk, 2-mile run, or 5-mile challenge, you’ll be running with purpose—building a healthier, stronger Fremont for all.
As we did last year, we will have a special custom contest. The best dressed costume will win a special gift card to a local business.
Join us inside the YMCA after the race for announcements of winners in each age category, where we will hand out medals for the top 2 in each category.
The day starts with the 5 mile race at 8:30 am, followed by the 2 mile run and 1 mile walk at 8:35 am. Both the 2 mile and 5 mile runs will be chip-timed by run nebraska, with awards for the top overall male and female finishers, as well as the top 2 finishers in each of the following age groups*:
10 & under
11-13
14-17
18-29
30-39
40-49
50-59
60+
In addition to awards, the top male and female in the 5 mile race will each win $100.
We will start at Fremont Family YMCA (810 N Lincoln Ave to 16th Ave - Runners will run east on 16th then back to the Y. 5 miles run to the JCAC and back to the Y.)
Participants must register by the following dates to lock-in a specific price or guarantee a shirt:
2 Mile Racers:
Early Bird Registration: Now through September 30th: $35 (t-shirt guaranteed)
Standard Registration: October 1st-November 13th: $40 (t-shirt guaranteed)
Late Registration: November 14th-November 25th: $45 (t-shirt not guaranteed)
November 26th through day of race: $50 (race only; no shirt)
5 Mile Racers:

Results will be emailed to all of those who've provided an email address at the time of registration, and can also be found online at www.itsyourrace.com.
Pre-race packet pick-up is available at the Fremont Family YMCA beginning on Tuesday, November 25th from 12:00-8:00 pm, or the day of the race beginning at 7:00 am. Due to the size of the event, participants are encouraged to pick up their race packets on Tuesday or Wednesday, if possible.
