Selfless Orchestra will mark the longest day of the year with a powerful and intimate performance of their new album Terra Nullius in full, presented in the warm, timber-lined surrounds of the historic Buffalo Club’s upstairs hall in Fremantle. Selfless Solstice, held on Sunday 21 December, is both a celebration of the true pagan holiday and a gathering grounded in community solidarity, with all proceeds supporting the Buffalo Club Community Kitchen.
Fresh from a run of recent appearances and the lead-up to their full album release, Selfless Orchestra have been steadily expanding the immersive world of Terra Nullius - a work exploring the stories, histories, and ongoing resistance embedded within Country. The Solstice event offers audiences a rare close-up encounter with the ensemble’s emotive strings, immersive visuals, and cathartic post-rock wall of sound in Freo’s beloved grassroots venue, The Buff!
Joining us on the night is acclaimed singer-songwriter Emily Barker, whose evocative storytelling has earned her international recognition, alongside DJ Daad Rok and DJ Walter Padbury - members of Selfless Orchestra who will be bringing down their exclusive vinyl collection for some sublime tune selections to round out the night.
Entry is via a minimum $10 donation on the door, with all funds going directly to the Buffalo Club Community Kitchen, a volunteer-driven initiative providing meals, support, and dignity to local community members.
Remember that music is a catalyst for collective action and solidarity. Join your community and celebrate each other for the end of the year.
Terra Nullius is out now on STOCK RECORDS on Vinyl - exclusive merchandise will be available on the night.
