In this 3-week course we will learn the foundational practices for Hindustani vocal music and become familiar with the concept of Raga. This is a powerful tool for vocal improvisation, composition and creativity. 
 
 A musician and educator of diverse experiences, Branan has journeyed deep into the heart of Classical Indian music. His primary love is the ancient vocal genre called ‘dhrupad’, which he learnt from masters in India. He has performed this music around the world, and regularly leads ‘kirtan’ devotional singing sessions in Perth.

When: Saturdays 4pm - 5:30pm, June 27th to July 11th
Where: 40 Oldham cres Hilton
Cost: $75 for the 3 sessions, or $30 casual
