Join us for a spring weekend of sacred chant, shared movement, silence and community in the tradition of the Dances of Universal Peace.

Together we will explore practices that nurture presence, compassion, reverence, resilience and belonging. Through simple circle dances, shared song, poetry, meditation and quiet reflection, we create a space where the heart can open, relationships can deepen, and a lived sense of interconnectedness can flourish.

In this season of blossoming, we gather to renew ourselves, renew community, and plant seeds of peace for the future.

The weekend will include:

• simple guided circle dances
• sacred chant and shared song
• poetry and quiet reflection
• meditation and silence
• gentle community connection
• time to rest, listen and reconnect

No dance experience, singing ability or spiritual background is needed. Everything will be taught as we go.

Led by Ishara de Garis, a certified leader of the Dances of Universal Peace with deep experience holding sacred circle and retreat spaces, joined by dance leaders Karuna, Fatima and Adam.

Full weekend: $180–$300 according to your circumstances. 

A deposit of $50 is payable on registration.
Balance payable no later than Friday 28 August.

We estimate the cost of providing the weekend to be approximately $220-260 per participant depending on attendance. Please choose a contribution that is both generous and realistic for your circumstances.  

🌼 𝐅𝐎𝐎𝐃

This is a self-catering weekend.

Please bring vegetarian lunch food for yourself, and something simple to share if you wish. In keeping with the ashram setting, we ask that all food brought onsite be vegetarian.

We will organise a simple soup meal for an early shared dinner before the Saturday evening session.

🏡 𝐀𝐂𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐎𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍

This is a non-residential retreat weekend.

If you wish to book into the Ashram to stay overnight on Saturday, please contact Beacon Yoga Centre directly to check availability of accommodation.

🌙 𝐅𝐋𝐄𝐗𝐈𝐁𝐋𝐄 𝐀𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄

The retreat is designed as a full weekend journey, and we encourage you to attend the whole experience if possible. The program will include both physical activity and more restful time.

We also understand that some people may need a more flexible option because of energy levels, family responsibilities or other commitments.

Saturday-only attendance is welcome, including the Saturday evening session.  Sliding scale pricing available on request. 

If you plan to attend on Sunday, we ask that you also join us for at least part of Saturday, so you can settle into the group and the shared rhythm of the weekend.
