The Fremantle Ports Swim Thru, organised by the Fremantle Masters Swimming Club (Freo Fins), is back! First held in 1922, this iconic community swim has become one of the most popular open water events on the WA calendar – and it’s for everyone.

Whether you’re chasing a challenge or dipping your toes into ocean swimming for the first time, there’s a distance for you:
?‍♂️ 3.2km – Two laps of the course, open to swimmers 12+ years
?‍♀️ 1.6km – The classic event (11+ years), with the fastest male and female awarded the historic Maisie Boyle Trophy
? 250m Try-It Swim – A guided, non-competitive option for new ocean swimmers 8+ years

Why swim?
This not-for-profit event is run entirely by volunteers, with proceeds supporting Freo Street Doctor and St Pat’s services for people experiencing homelessness. Plus, there are plenty of prizes up for grabs on the day!
