Improve comfort, communication, and confidence with In-hand Obstacle Play and Centered Riding lessons. Discover new ways to learn or improve in Western Dressage with Heidi's approach to improving balance, precision, cadence, and creating that forward, free-flowing movement needed to succeed. The area Youth will learn the art and science of understanding horses' authentic language through the art and science of Horse Speak. In this 4-hour workshop, students will learn a new way to connect and communicate with horses, deepening their understanding and ability to "read" what horses are saying and how to respond through mimicry of gestures, postures, and signals used by horses. This workshop will include observation, interactive exercises, practice at liberty, and in-hand skill building through obstacle play. This rare opportunity will open new doors and build skills to last a lifetime, with every horse, in every situation. Saturday 9-1:00: Youth Horse Speak and Obstacle Play (in-hand) $125* Saturday 2-6:00: Individual in-hand or mounted Obstacle Play $150* Sunday 9-1:00: Western Dressage Lessons $150* Sunday 2-6:00 & Monday 9-1:00: Dealer's Choice $150* Dealer's Choice Sessions-Choose from any of these topics: Centered Riding - Horse Speak - Western Dressage - Obstacle Play - Clicker Training - Problem Solving on the Ground or in the Saddle *Prices include a one-hour lesson, auditing all of the day's lessons, and either breakfast or lunch. Healing Rein Farm has a limited number of lesson horses available for $25 per day and 6 stalls for those trucking in. Incoming horses must be experienced travelers, show a negative Coggins test, and have proof of vaccinations. The cost of stabling is $30 per day, which includes shavings.
