What an incredible start to 2026! New Year's Clash was everything one could've hoped for and more!
The biggest story was the main event where Ace Dynasty was able to dethrone Crued Oil for the second time to capture the NBWA Tag Team Championship in an unbelievable ladder match that will surely have an impact on all four of their careers. Now that Ace Dynasty has captured gold again, what is next for them?
Not to be outdone, "Rugged" Rick Owens faced Zane Valentine in an impromptu all-out war for the NBWA Heavyweight Championship. Despite Zane's mind games, Owens was able to defeat him and retain the title. However, he was not expecting the former River Valley Champion Kerry Killem to make an appearance and issue his contract that he had warned us about in a previous filmed message. Due to the contract, Killem will be facing Owens at Clash 42: Eviction for the Heavyweight Title. Could we see a changing of the guard? What would CCW look like under the control of a pillar like Kerry Killem?!
Another huge confrontation took place between Matt and Nick Strong. As Matt was set to go one-on-one with Zatara in some friendly competition, Nick Strong interrupted the proceedings, ranting about how he had no match despite very recently holding the Heavyweight Title. Not only did he take a cheapshot at his own brother but Nick Strong also had some absolutely uncalled-for words toward his mother. The NBWA Board can not withstand this rivalry any longer so it is finally official - in February, it will be MATT STRONG VS. NICK STRONG, BROTHER VS. BROTHER.
The women's division was red-hot as we saw Stormie Hale manage to pick up a victory over The Matriarch while using some nefarious tactics. But that wouldn't be the only time we saw Stormie that night as she returned to the ring to distract Salem Wilder during her match against Kacey Diamond. It was enough to cause another loss for Wilder so soon after Stormie cost her the Women's Title to Vanna Black back in December. Will Salem get her hands on Hale this month? And speaking of Vanna Black, she will be on-hand to defend the title on Feb 21st against Dreya Mitchell! We could see a lot of chaos!
"Horsepower" Hunter Sampson and Narcis Saint had an exciting River Valley Title match full of near falls and drama but in the end, Sampson was able to pull off a quick pinning combination and successfully retain the title. However, he has someone else to "look forward" to at Clash 42 - Shane O. Having won the fatal four-way match during the VIP edition of the show, Shane O secured himself a River Valley Title match and will be taking on Sampson on February 21st.
Dan McCullough made his singles debut as he went one-on-one with Logan Green, a man who has been a thorn in his side since October. When push came to shove, McCullough was able to defeat Green much to the delight of the crowd. Will this be the decisive end to this rivalry?
Clash 42 will also feature the RETURN of Larry Horowitz! The loveable, groovy former Heavyweight Champion has not been seen since losing his title in dubious fashion. What will Larry have to say? Does he plan on attempting to re-capture the gold?
