ADVENT CLASSIX / Music on Queen
Join violist Natalia Delacroix, Connor Britt, cello and Yunja Dai, flute for an intimate concert at Gallery on Queen on Friday, December 12 at 7 pm
Natalia Delacroix began teaching viola at the Moscow State Conservatory at the age of 19 as an assistant of Professor Galina Odinets. She also taught as a violin teacher at a Central music school in Moscow. In addition to teaching, she performed concerts as a soloist and chamber musician. She also secured a job as Artist of the State Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Evgeny Svetlanov.
Conor Britt is a recent cello performance graduate of McGill University’s Schulich School of Music under the direction of Brian Manker of the New Orford String Quartet and Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal. A native of Saint John, Conor has won numerous top prizes and awards at provincial and local festivals and was a 3rd place winner at the National Music Festival.
As a chamber musician, Conor has performed at the Tuckamore Chamber Music Festival, Domaine Forget International Chamber Music Festival, Classikfest Chaleur- Bathurst Chamber Music Festival and in numerous chamber ensembles in Montreal throughout his years at McGill. Currently a member of Tutta Musica, Conor has performed with Symphony New Brunswick, McGill Symphony Orchestra, Youth Orchestra of the Americas, and was principal cellist with the New Brunswick Youth Orchestra, performing throughout Canada and Europe. Currently based in Fredericton, Conor is a teaching artist at Sistema NB.
A native of Nanjing, China, Yunjia Dai started to learn keyboard when she was 4. At the age of 11, she began to receive musical training in flute. Her devotion and dedication propelled her from a loyal hobbyist into a professional. Yunjia has appeared with Symphony New Brunswick, a testament to her commitment and skill. She has been playing with the Fredericton Symphony Orchestra and Saint Andrews Gala Festival Orchestra since 2019. Beyond the orchestral sphere, she actively engages in the local music community, participating in various chamber groups and bands.
