John Rogers

John Rogers is a guitarist and vocalist with 50 years of experience playing an eclectic mix of classic rock, blues, jazz, and pop covers. After living and working in Houston for 50+ years, John moved to North Carolina in 2015 to play music in the southeast NC coastal music scene. His bands: John Preston Rogers, J&B Bluzz, Johnny & The Flipside, and LunaSea Rockers played over 800 shows in North and South Carolina. In 2023. John moved back to Texas and landed in San Antonio.
After retiring from an electrical engineering career in the oilfield, he returned to his first love and now plays music full time. John is a self-taught musician who sings lead/harmony vocals and plays electric and acoustic guitar, resonator slide guitar, electric bass, and keyboards.
