The Lowery Family donates all event proceeds to the nonprofit Mental Health America Fredericksburg Region's suicide prevention efforts. These include: 

~ Youth Support Network: An up and coming program of MHAfred that assists families in paying for therapy sessions through the gracious donations of our donors, and the support of local organizational grants such as the Mary Washington Community Benefit Fund and the Duff McDuff Greene fund through the Rappahannock Community Foundation. You can sponsor at risk youth by donating, please consider becoming a monthly donor to the Youth Support Network. 

~ Suicide Prevention: MHAfred is a proud presenter of the Signs of Suicide curriculum in Fredericksburg City Public Schools and King George County Public Schools. We utilize both community donations and locality funding to provide this service. 

~ Advocacy & Education: Our team attends many outreach events throughout the year, sharing resources and information through the City of Fredericksburg, and the counties of Spotsylvania, King George, Caroline, and Stafford. We are also active participants in our local Suicide Prevention Coalition! Currently, our workgroup is looking forward to the 2026 Youth Mental Health Conference where we will make a direct impact on local student by building resiliency and offering parental information sessions. 

Please donate online if you want a tax receipt from MHAfred for your records or cannot attend but want to help ensure resources are available for local teens.
