About the event

History Harvest
Family stories fade if they are not shared. As part of its First Weekend programming, the Pioneer Museum has slated its first ever History Harvest on Friday, March 6 at 3 p.m. The goal of the History Harvest is to share and preserve the artifacts and stories of Gillespie County’s first families.

The event will feature a variety of presenters who will provide brief oral histories, family stories or a show and tell of a family heirloom or artifact.

Featured speakers in March will be:
-Tim Dooley: Owner of Dooley's 5-10-25c store
-Evelyn Weinheimer: Johann Leyendecker, the first teacher in Fredericksburg
-Dave Schafer
