The Gillespie County Airport manager will talk to the Fredericksburg Ex-Military Flyers about the growth of the local airport on Wednesday, Sept. 17.

Tony Lombardi, manager of the airport since 2017, will be the guest speaker at the monthly meeting.

The meet and greet begins at 11 a.m. at the Bethany Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall, 110 W. Austin St., Fredericksburg.

A buffet lunch will be served by Vivere catering at 11:30 a.m. at a cost of $25 per person.

Lombardi was hired by Gillespie County after he retired from a 27-year Air Force career.

Those planning to attend are reminded to RSVP with Roger Hansen at 830-992-9205.

The Ex-Military Flyers organization meets the third Wednesday of every month. The club brings together aviation enthusiasts, many with a military background, to celebrate the camaraderie, skill and love of flying cultivated during their service.

Membership is open not only to veterans and active-duty personnel but also to any aviation enthusiasts who share their values and mission.
