Get ready, Frederick! That mean, green, gift-giving menace is returning to Downtown Frederick for the 6th year in a row!
Join us for the Great Grinch Hunt of 2025! The Grinch will be lurking around the downtown area, and it's your family's job to find him. As always, he has a sack full of wonderfully HORRIBLE gifts for all the children who manage to track him down.
How It Works
Find the Grinch: Once you find the Grinch, the children will get a terrible gift and a photo op for the whole family! We’ll release the official Grinch "Surge Grid" (our special event map) on Wednesday December 10th. This map will show the area where the Grinch is wandering for the day!

⏰ TIME: 12-3pm
📍 LOCATION: Downtown Frederick, MD (Map "Surge Grid" will be provided to all registered participants!) and to the public December 10th
💰 COST: FREE to hunt! (Registration required for the grand prize.)
Mark "Going" or "Interested" to get all the updates first, including the release of the Surge Grid map!

This year, we're giving our community two new ways to help the Grinch's heart grow!
Gift Donations: We are now accepting donations of new, unwrapped gifts from the community. We'll help the Grinch give these gifts to children right here in our area.
Monetary Donations: We will also have a donation station set up. 100% of all monetary donations will be kept local and given directly to our amazing community partners at Heartly House to support the essential work they do in Frederick.
