- **Event Description**: Join indigenous artist N’Dene Riley as we explore what Reconciliation means to us through conversation and painting.About this EventBest suited to people aged 18 +Take part in a relaxed and reflective guided painting session as part of National Reconciliation Week at the library.Facilitated by N’Dene, a proud Parrdarrama Pungenna and Six Rivers Aboriginal woman, qualified primary school teacher, and contemporary Aboriginal artist, this workshop invites participants to explore creativity, learning and connection through art.N’Dene will share her perspectives on Reconciliation and what it means to Indigenous peoples today. Through open conversation and cultural storytelling, she will guide participants in using Indigenous symbols to create their own artwork on a mini canvas, reflecting what reconciliation means to them personally.“My art is a way to carry forward memory, Country, and connection. My aim is always to help others see how culture lives in all of us — through story, learning, and care for Country.” — N’DeneNo prior painting experience is required. All materials are provided.This session offers a thoughtful opportunity to listen, learn, reflect and create in a welcoming space during Reconciliation Week.
