✨ About the Artist: Kathie McKay (KCM Creations)

Kathie McKay is a lifelong Vermonter who has called New Hampshire home since 2005. Artistic by nature, Kathie’s journey into sculptural art began unexpectedly five years ago when she discovered needle felting while scrolling social media. Instantly captivated, she immersed herself in learning the craft—studying techniques, armature basics, and the many styles of felting through research and hands-on practice.

What began as curiosity quickly became a daily creative ritual. Over the years, Kathie has developed her own distinctive style within this ever-evolving art form. She has created hundreds of needle-felted sculptures, with a particular love for rabbits, clowns, and dragons. Her pieces are gifted for special occasions and sold to those who are drawn to their charm, whimsy, and soul.

Kathie cannot imagine her life without creating. Felting brings her peace, joy, and deep fulfillment—and she is equally passionate about sharing that magic with others. Teaching allows her to guide students in discovering their own creativity through the tactile, meditative art of sculpting and painting with wool.
