A young man receives a strange creature as a pet for a Christmas gift. But when some of the rules governing the mysterious creature's care are broken, chaos ensues.
Why we're showing it: Kick off the holiday season with this off-beat, darkly comedic creature feature courtesy of Joe Dante. The cute and cuddly Gizmo would become just as iconic as the horrible, reptilian gremlins that harass our protagonists.
