Partain's Ilford Photo sponsored documentary, "#MyFilmStory - A Photographer's Journey on the Appalachian Trail".With 24K views within one month on YouTube, the documentary chronicles Laura's 2,200 mile hike from Georgia to Maine with a 35mm camera as she strives to thru hike northbound on America's hardest trail, all while photographing the journey with the intent to make a book.The film is a prelude to a fine art photo book Laura is currently working on, and this event features not only the 30 minute documentary screening + Q&A, but also an oppertunity to experience some of the photographs and stories from the project in person during a small pop up exhibit of the work, all to the soundscapes of live ambient pedal steel performed by Nashville's own Luke Schneider. We will have light refreshments and alcoholic beverages available for free.The event is free to all. Come join us at Westlight Studios on Sunday June 28th. Parking is available at Westlight Studio's front and back lots, as well as free street parking.
