The kayak tour begins with a brief introduction of kayaking, safety talk, and outfitting of your equipment including personal flotation device (PFD). Your guide/instructor will provide you with various paddling techniques from knowledge gained over years of extensive paddling experience. This is a great course for all levels of paddlers and fitness.From there, your guide will take you on a relaxed group tour of the Franklin Lakes Nature Preserve Reservoir. The preserve offers a picturesque location with abundant opportunities for wildlife sightings, learning about the ecosystem, and some local history. All necessary paddling equipment is provided.Tour Time: approximately 2hrs including approximately 30 minutes of free paddling time.What to BringWeather- and activity-appropriate clothing, Synthetic clothing is the best option for outdoor activities since it dries quickly.
