On December 21st, I’ll be stepping out of my comfort zone and doing something I rarely do—opening up about my past life. My goal is simple: to reach the young men who might get bored, agitated, or disconnected in the classroom… or in life.
This message is specifically for boys ages 13–17, that crucial stage where behavior shifts, choices get heavier, and the forks in the road start shaping the future. This is the age when influence matters and guidance can make all the difference.
Now that I’ve embraced the title of “OG” or “Unc,” it is my privilege to mentor young men who are at risk, on the edge, or already face-to-face with the judicial system.
I’ll be sharing my story—the story of a young man whose decisions led to a 10-year sentence, of which I served four and a half. Not to glorify it, but to show what’s real, what’s possible, and what can still be changed.
This is not your ordinary youth empowerment group.
This is truth. This is lived experience. This is impact and bridging the gaps to build a better path forward.
