Workshop: Pen & Ink: Forest & Nature

Beat the winter blues with my traditional dip pen and ink class. In this workshop, participants will explore pen and ink drawing while creating forest and nature inspired illustrations.

We’ll focus on: observing natural forms such as trees, leaves, rocks, and organic textures, from both photos and still life, and learn techniques including line variation, hatching, cross-hatching, and pattern to build depth and contrast. Through guided demonstrations and hands-on practice, students will learn about new materials, how to simplify complex scenes, create strong compositions, and develop confidence working with traditional dip pens and ink.

This class is suitable for beginners and experienced artists alike, and each participant will leave with a finished drawing and practical pen-and-ink techniques they can continue to use in future work. Teens and Adults only.
