Workshop: Gouache Birds

Beat the winter blues with my gouache painting workshop! In this hands-on workshop, participants will explore the expressive and versatile medium of gouache while painting birds inspired by nature.

We’ll cover techniques such as: color mixing, layering, creating texture, and achieving both opaque and delicate effects unique to gouache. Through guided demonstrations and individual practice, students will learn how to simplify bird forms, capture personality and movement, and build vibrant compositions.

This workshop is suitable for beginners and experienced painters alike, and all participants will leave with one or more finished bird paintings and a deeper confidence in working with gouache. Teens and adults only.
