Please make sure you have appropriate gear and experience with this weather by having dry suits, proper skills and proper equipment for the cold.  This isn’t a “beginner” activity no matter the level in freezing temps.  Cold water training etc.  If you have never flipped a kayak in sub 40 water it’s a shock.
