SHOW DESCRIPTION: Four narrators attempt to recreate all 209 of the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm in a wild, fast-paced extravaganza! To make it even more challenging, they attempt to combine the tales into one gigantic fable using Rapunzel, Rumpelstiltskin, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Hansel and Gretel, Witches, along with lesser known stories like Lean Lisa, Faithful Johannes, and The Devil's Grandmother.

PRODUCTION TEAM:
DIRECTOR – SHAWN REAVES. Shawn is a past president of Bluegrass Theatre Guild and has been involved for over 25 years (and over 50 productions) with theatre companies in Franklin, Anderson, Woodford, Scott, Shelby, and Lexington/Fayette Counties. Recent directing credits include The Crucible, Miracle on 34th Street, American Son. Favorite roles include Kris Kringle, Juror 3, and Karl Lindner. 

STAGE MANAGER, COSTUMES, PROPS, ETC. – BARBARA BURCH. Barbara’s involvement in theater includes acting, backstage work, costuming, and directing plays for young people. She especially loves to share her love of the theater with her grandchildren. Active in community theater for over 30 years, she is serving her second term on the BTG Board of Directors.

PRODUCER – BRANDON MILLER. Brandon is the current president of the Board of Directors of Bluegrass Theatre Guild. He’s been involved in the theatrical world for 10 years for various groups in Southern Utah, and more recently in Central Kentucky. Accountant by day, actor by night, Brandon is honored and privileged to bring his talents to the Bluegrass State.

AUDITIONS PROCESS:
Auditions are open to CHILDREN and YOUTH age 7-17. Auditionees will have the opportunity to read several portions of the script and several different characters, and will be invited to read scenes with others who are auditioning for the show.

WELCOMING and INCLUSIVE:
No prior experience is necessary, and we welcome both veteran performers and newcomers to our stage! Bluegrass Theatre Guild enthusiastically welcomes auditionees of all ethnicities and orientations. We want our cast to reflect all the diversity and inclusiveness that is Kentucky. We pride ourselves in creating a safe and welcoming environment for ALL participants!!
