Bonfire by the Bus

Kick off the season with a cozy afternoon by the Kentucky River at Bonfire by the Bus! Join Woods & Waters Land Trust for a free, family-friendly gathering at the Boathouse at River Row. Enjoy grilled hotdogs, a s’mores station, and a warm bonfire beside our converted school bus—all overlooking the lands and waters we’re working together to protect.

Bring your friends, family, and pre-Thanksgiving good cheer as we celebrate community and the natural places that connect us. It’s a relaxed way to enjoy the river, meet neighbors, and feel part of something meaningful.

This event also gently leads into Bluegrass Gives Day on December 2, when our community comes together to support local nonprofits. But Sunday is all about gathering, gratitude, and enjoying time together by the fire.

Free and open to everyone. Come for the snacks, stay for the firelight, and leave feeling connected to the river and each other.
