Wholistic Wellness Presents: April Parent Support Psychoeducational Series
Executive Functioning 101
Understanding Typical & Neurodivergent Brains While Building Essential Skills
📅 Wednesday, April 15th
🕕 6:00 – 7:30 PM
💲 $35
Does your child struggle with organization, time management, starting tasks, emotional regulation, or following through?
Executive functioning skills are the brain-based abilities that help us plan, prioritize, manage emotions, shift attention, and get things done. For many children — especially those with ADHD, learning differences, autism, or other neurodivergent profiles — these skills develop differently and require intentional support.
This workshop helps parents understand what executive functioning really is, how it shows up in everyday life, and how to support skill development in practical, sustainable ways.
In this interactive and informative session, parents will learn:
• What executive functioning skills are and how they develop over time
• How executive functioning differences show up in neurodivergent brains
• The connection between executive functioning, behavior, motivation, and emotional regulation
• Why “laziness” and “defiance” are often skill gaps — not character flaws
• Practical tools and systems to support organization, task initiation, time awareness, and follow-through
• How to scaffold skills at home while building independence and confidence
Participants will leave with a clearer lens for understanding their child’s challenges, concrete strategies they can implement immediately, and a roadmap for supporting long-term growth without constant power struggles.
This workshop is ideal for parents of children and teens who struggle with focus, organization, flexibility, impulse control, or managing daily responsibilities — and for those who want to better understand and support neurodivergent learners in a strengths-based way.
