The duo was usually dressed in matching black suits, black pencil ties, black trilby hats and sunglasses.Their band was carefully constructed from experienced studio musicians of the time and the act debuted as musical guest on Saturday Night Live, hosted by comedian Steve Martin.After recruiting a full band including studio musicians in the amazing SNL band, the group opened for Steve Martin at the Universal Amphitheatre later that year and released a live album, Briefcase Full of Blues, which rose to the top of the charts and was a platinum seller.
