- **Event Description**: Sacred Scripture is one of the most beautiful gifts given to us by God to enable us to encounter Him, have conversation with Him, and deepen our relationship with Him! But, if we are honest, reading the Bible & praying with Scripture can also be pretty intimidating - on our own, let alone with our kids (or grandkids or godkids)! If "ignorance of Scripture is ignorance of Christ" (St. Jerome), how can we more confidently enter into praying with Scripture with hearts open to all that God has for us and our children? 

On Sunday, March 15th, A.J. D'Angelo of Damascus Catholic Mission Campus will be visiting our parish to share his thoughts on how to engage & pray with Scripture ourselves, as well as how to approach praying with Scripture with our kids. A.J. has had extensive experience as a Damascus Missionary leading young people deeper into Scripture and teaching them how to truly pray with the Word of God, not just read it. He is also a husband and father of 3 young daughters. 

The presentation will begin between 9:15am-9:30am. There will be age-appropriate sessions for children age 3 - 8th grade during the parent presentation. Breakfast will be served, beginning at 9am. All are invited to attend, but all parents, godparents & grandparents are particularly encouraged.
