- **Event Description**: It is no secret that today's children are growing up in a culture in which there is so much at odds with our faith and the truth of our identity as human beings created in the image and likeness of God. But how do we discuss these difficult topics with our kids in an age appropriate way, without watering down the truth we receive from Christ & His Church? 

On Sunday, February 8th, Nathan Maurer will share some of his thoughts on this topic. Nathan Maurer was born and raised in a Catholic family near Columbus, Ohio.  He met Christ personally for the first time at Eucharistic Adoration in high school and started asking deep questions about his faith.  This led him to Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio, where he studied theology, philosophy, and music.  He then joined the Culture Project International as a missionary speaker, where he spoke to thousands of young people across the country about chastity, virtue, and the pro-life message.  After receiving his Master’s in the New Evangelization at the Augustine Institute in Denver, he settled in Toledo and has served the diocese here as Marriage and Family Coordinator, Catechetics Coordinator, and now as Parish Life Coordinator for Evangelization and Planning.  He attends St. Rose parish in Perrysburg along with his wife and two daughters. 

The presentation will begin between 9:15am-9:30am. There will be age-appropriate sessions for children age 3 - 8th grade during the parent presentation. The Culture Project will be present to speak with junior high & high school students. Our local Knights of Columbus will also be serving an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast for only $8 beginning at 9am. All are invited to attend, but all parents, godparents & grandparents are particularly encouraged.
