- **Event Description**: In this single session, you'll learn the fundamentals of centering and throwing on the wheel. 

What You'll Learn You'll be guided through, centering on the wheel, opening the base, and pulling up walls to create the shape. We'll cover how to refine your form and release your piece cleanly from the wheel. No experience is needed and every step will be demonstrated before you try it yourself.

What's Included All clay, tools, and wheel time are provided. Your instructor will guide you through every stage of the process.

Who This Is For This class is for complete beginners and curious returners alike. If you've always wanted to try the wheel or just want a fun, hands-on afternoon, this is the place to start.

What to Wear

Wear clothing and shoes you're comfortable getting clay and water on. Aprons are provided, but clay has a way of finding everything anyway.

Next Steps

Your pottery will take multiple days to dry out completely before it can be bisque fired and ready to glaze. Please give 3-4 weeks to be contacted via email to schedule your glazing session.

Once your piece has been fired, we'll send you a link to schedule a glazing session ($25). After your piece has been glazed, you'll be notified when it is ready for pickup, or you can arrange shipping during class.

Keep Throwing: Studio Membership

Completing any pottery class makes you eligible to join The MixMatch as a studio member, giving you access to our wheels, tools, and kiln time on your own schedule. It's the natural next step for anyone who wants to keep building their skills between classes. Ask your instructor or the front desk for details on how to get started.

 

 

Additional Information: All classes include a $10 supply fee. This is already included in the ticket price. Some workshops may involve heat, sharp tools, or other specialty materials, so participants must be 18 or older unless the class notes otherwise.Classes have limited availability. If a session is full, you can join the waitlist, but openings are not guaranteed.Tickets cannot be refunded, canceled, or rescheduled. If you're unable to attend, please reach out to us via email at hello@themixmatchfw.com. We may take photos or short videos during workshops for marketing and social media. Signing up means you agree to let The MixMatch use images of you unless you notify us otherwise.
