History of the Fort Worth Christmas Bird Count & How to Get Involved

PROGRAM DETAILS: Citizen Science is a helpful tool for everyday scientists. There are a number of projects everyday citizens can involve themselves in. Each December, bird lovers can assist with the 126 National Audubon Soviet’s Christmas Bird Count. Volunteers help document bird sightings throughout Fort Worth, providing important data that supports research on bird populations. Learn about the history of this initiative and discover how you can get involved—step up and help count!
