Description: Join Cook Children’s at the Las Vegas Trail Demonstration Kitchen for a community nutrition. Participants will learn how to reduce food waste and learn useful strategies like freezing, canning, etc. Participants will also go home with groceries, nutrition education materials, and more!

Health on a Plate: Cooking for Chronic Wellness
Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Description: Join Cook Children’s at the Las Vegas Trail Demonstration Kitchen for a community nutrition class. Participants with chronic diseases like diabetes, hypertension, or others are invited to come learn cooking and shopping tips to help manage their chronic conditions. Participants will also go home with groceries, nutrition education materials, and more!

Cooking Well with Diabetes Class Series 
Dates: Wednesdays on 10/29, 11/5, 11/12, and 11/19 from 1:00 - 2:30 p.m.

Description: Join Cook Children’s and Agrilife at the Las Vegas Trail Demonstration Kitchen for a community nutrition class. Participants with diabetes or are a caregiver of a diabetic loved one are invited to participate in this 4 week class series. Participants will meet once a week for 4 weeks and learn helpful tips to manage their diabetes and practice their cooking skills. Participants must be committed to attend class once a week for 4 weeks and will receive a certificate at the end of class completion. Participants will also go home with groceries, nutrition education materials, and more!
