Come celebrate DIY culture and community with FWZF on October 17 at Southside Preservation Hall!!! 

Southside Preservation Hall is split into 3 rooms: The Main Ballroom, The Salon, and The Chapel! We will be hosting art workshops, presentations, and documentary showings throughout the day! 

The Main Ballroom at Southside Preservation Hall will Feature: 
12 - 6pm
✨ 36 local printer artists/zinesters (all day)
✨ DJ Chineseknees (12:30 - 3pm)
✨ DJ 0RBIS9 (3pm - 5pm) 
✨ It's Food: 100% Plant Based (all day)
✨ Ostara Coffee & Matcha (all day)

The Salon (middle room) at SSPH will Feature: 
✨Local art and educational workshops 
✨ Book Binding  (12:30 - 1:15pm)
✨ Riso Misprint Journals (1:30 - 2:15)
✨ Collaging (2:30 - 3:30pm)
✨ Zine Club Drawing Jam (3:30 - 4:30pm)
✨ Kids Table (all day)

The Chapel at SSPH will feature:
✨ 12:30: Presentation on Zines by Political Prisoners 
✨1:30: Film Screening of “A Place We Can Go” (about the DIY scene in DFW featuring 1919 Hemphill) 
✨ 2:30pm: he Corner Orchard: A Presentation on the community garden in Stop Six
✨ 3:30: Film Screenings: 
✨"Survival without Rent" (how a zine helped squatters in the 1970s) 
✨"Pretty Vacant"(a 1996 coming of age story about a young Latina feminist in who expresses herself through her love of music & zines)  
✨ 4:45pm: Collective Processing: A Grief Workshop for 2026
