🚨 Searching for Cheermeisters! 🚨 For the last 10+ years, Lynda Lee Dahl and her husband, Martin Dahl have planned and executed the Fairmount Cheer Station (which really paved the way for official neighborhood stations – I'm sensing an article forthcoming, standby). But they are passing the baton and I'm exstimating that it will take 6-12 energized people to replace them on Cowtown morming.
FNA is putting together a team to help with setup the morning of and with filling the literal shoes of Martin & Lynda, holding tissue box and cheering from the Fairmount Garden side of the street.
So I ask you, neighbors: Can you be loud? Can you exude encouragement even louder than the DJ at times? Can you wave tissues in snotty, fast-moving faces for a 1-2 hour stretch on March 1st?
If this sounds like a dream opportunity, we cannot wait to help you fulfill your destiny! Also, if you live on Henderson, there's a good chance Natalie Lozano Trimble will be inviting you into this role personally. 👀
There is not a minimum age for this role but if you think your 5-year-old's tireless enthusiasm would be a great fit, please volunteer alongside them.
