# Event Details - **Event Name**: 2026 City Center Memorial Tower Climb - **Event Start and End Date**: Sat, 05 Sep, 2026 at 06:30 am โ€“ Sat, 05 Sep, 2026 at 02:00 pm (-05:00) - **Event Description**: With this climb, we continue to honor the dedication to duty and ultimate sacrifice these brave men and women displayed on Sept 11, 2001.About this EventCity Center Security & City Center Management are hosting a tower climb in honor of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.During the City Center climb, participants will climb or walk in the stairwells of the Bank of America Tower. Here they will climb to level 30 three times, then on the fourth time up they will stop on level 20, which following this plan is the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center. There will be various tributes to memorialize the fallen first responders including a local Pipes & Drum Band initiating the opening ceremony, a dedicated moment of silence recognizing the timeline that unfolded on September 11, 2001, and each of todayโ€™s heroes โ€“ our local first responders โ€“ will carry a name and photo of a hero who responded to the World Trade Centers.Please note: This event is open to First Responders only (Fire/Police/EMS, etc.).Additional Event Details:There will be an opening ceremony beginning at 8:15 am.Please arrive a minimum of 30 minutes prior to allow time to check in and participate in the ceremony prior to the climb.Registration will open at 6:30 am at the base of the Bank of America Tower.GROUP PHOTO: will be taken in front of the large 9/11 Quilt (quilt made with all the individuals photos who died in the attacks) at 8:00 sharp. An annoucement will be made by the event MC to help gather everyone together for the photo.NOTE: Participants will be divided into two groups for the climb - North and South - as this will indicate which stairway each participant will climb. The lanyards worn will also indicate which stairway you're assigned to.
