Deep End Weekend [DEWE] is an annual freediving festival hosted by Depth Wish Freediving, created for water lovers who crave adventure, connection, and the kind of dives you’ll be talking about for months.
Launched in 2019 with a handful of local freedivers and a shared passion for the springs, DEWE has grown into the largest and most anticipated freediving gathering in the U.S.. Each year, a diverse crew of divers from across the country (and beyond) descends on North Central Florida to explore the region’s legendary freshwater springs, sharpen their skills, and soak up the energy of a community that gets it.
From morning yoga and breathwork to daily dive sessions led by seasoned pros, every part of DEWE is designed to challenge, support, and inspire. Whether you're new to freediving, chasing depth goals, or just here for the sunshine and the people, there’s a place for you in the deep end.
Dive sessions span all skill levels and change locations daily to showcase the best of springs country. Expect everything from chill fun dives and beginner coaching to mock competitions, rescue refreshers, mermaiding, spearfishing basics, underwater photography sessions, and much more.
Back at our community campsite, the vibe continues with catered dinners, nightly workshops, fireside hangs, a live band, and Saturday’s can't-miss raffle, with prizes that range from gear to full-on dive trips.
And Sunday? Still packed. Vendor market, gear swap, optional paddle adventure. Plus another round of diving, because of course.
DEWE is where freedivers come to level up, let loose, and link into something bigger than a your average dive session. Come for the depth. Stay for the people. Live for the weekend.
