- **Event Description**: Join the Fort Wayne Running Club, City of Fort Wayne, City of New Haven, and Fort Wayne Trails for the launch of 2026 Tread the Trails! Join us every other Thursday for a free guided run/walk with 1 mile/5k distances.
The runs/walks will begin at 6:00 pm every other Thursday throughout the summer and will take place from the same starting point as our weekly Trek the Trails rides, which take place on Tuesday evenings.
Participants are asked to come prepared with water, although there may be times when water is provided. This event is designed with all ability levels in mind and is family-friendly, and each group will have a “sweeper” to ensure no one is lost or gets left behind. Routes may be a loop or an out and back, and we intend to have signage to mark the halfway points for each distance.

Please register here if you’d like to attend. This will assist us in providing improved communication with you, track how many people we might see at each event, and provide a way for you to give us anonymous feedback about your Tread the Trails experience and ideas about trail development. Signing up will also register you for a chance to win some goodies from local running stores at the end of the season! All walkers/runners can “sign-in” at each event for an additional chance to win! You only need to register online one time per season.

**This is the only Tread the Trails event that will be held on a Tuesday and will be with Trek the Trails for the kick off. All following Tread the Trails events will held on Thursdays.

Be sure to stick around after the run/walk for our annual Trails Celebration which will be held at The Promenade Park Pavilion. Food and drink will be available for purchase from our friends at Teds. A trails update will be given by the City of Fort Wayne and Fort Wayne Trails. The party will be held from 6:30 to 8:30.
