Step beyond the footlights and into a world where theatre strips away the spectacle and leans into the story. The Behind the Curtain Series is an exclusive, immersive event staged on the Wayne High School Theatre stage—not in front of the curtain, but behind it.
With the grand main act curtains drawn closed, the audience joins us onstage in a rare theatre-in-the-round experience. Just 125 seats form a tight circle around the action, creating an intimate setting where every breath, every glance, every word resonates.
There are no microphones. No theatrical lighting. We dim the house and let the raw talent of our students—and the power of the story—shine through. It's stripped-down, up-close, and profoundly human.
But this series offers more than a performance. Patrons will also explore the history behind the show, learn about the creative process, and take part in interactive moments designed to bring them even deeper into the world of the play.
The Behind the Curtain Series is a rare event, happening just once every two years. It's not just a show—it’s an experience. An invitation to step inside the art of storytelling and see theatre from a new perspective.
