In a time when our community too often feels unseen or pushed to the margins, we're creating something different: a space where Black lives are not only safe but celebrated, where our voices lead, our businesses thrive, our children laugh and learn, and we show up for each other in a “for us, by us” way. Build Your Own Blessing Bag Station: All may take home what you need non-perishable food, hygiene items, cleaning supplies, snacks, and personal care essentials. These blessing bag items have been purchased and donated by community members, Movement For Black Lives Organization (M4BL), Count Us In, Bri The Change, Center For Nonviolence Pan-African Decent AG, and a major Angel Donor. It’s about de-stigmatizing need while retaining autonomy and agency. ?️ Tote Bags & Personal Care Items Generously donated by Anthem, available while supplies last. ?️ Free Meal Share & Refreshments A free delicious meal share for all donated by Slingin Sunshine & Food Not Bombs while supplies last. ? At McMillen Park Golf Course (just 6 minute drive away): ? Golf Tournament Tee off at 2:00 PM. Flights for all skill levels, prizes, and an optional skin pot. ?? Youth Golf Mini-Clinics at 4:00 PM Semi-pro and PGA-certified coaches will introduce our youth to a sport that opens doors to networking, scholarships, and career longevity. We’re reclaiming the green. We’re asking everyone to start at Blue Jacket first. Check in, enjoy the resource fair, grab food, and then golfers can make the quick 6-minute drive to McMillen to tee up. Families can do the resource fair, then head to the youth mini-clinics at 4 PM; or flow however works for your crew. These two locations will move together, filling Blue Jacket with our love, our culture, and our resources before taking that energy straight to the green.
