Flag Retirement Ceremony

Spring Flag Retirement Ceremony open to the public. When an American flag is worn, faded, or damaged beyond repair, it should be retired in a respectful manner, preferably by burning. This is not an act of destruction, but of honor — returning the flag to the elements from which it came. Join us and help us properly retire over 2,000 American flags. If you are unable to attend and have an American flag to retire, you can drop it off Monday-Friday 2-8pm inside VFW Post 857 with the bartender.
