A beloved piece of local history is officially stepping into a new era. On Thursday, July 2, 2026, at 6:00 PM, the community is invited to gather at 902 Campus Drive for the official rededication ceremony of the newly renovated Peach Pit Recreation Center.

Event Schedule:
6:00 PM — Meet & Greet Reception: The evening kicks off with a welcoming reception. Light Refreshments, Community Fellowship
Historical Photo Display, and Memories from Years Past.

6:30 PM — Official Rededication Ceremony: Welcome from Bruce Mackey, Executive Director of the Peach County Parks & Recreation Department. Following the welcome, special remarks by Roy Lewis, Chairman of the Peach County Board of Commissioners and Jill Bowen, Peach County Administrator


"The Good Ol' Days": A special tribute celebrating the history, memories, and people who made the old Peach County High School Gymnasium such a treasured part of our community.
Featuring reflections from: Tim Wilson, Coach Maxine Cherry and Coach Rickey Wray

Guided Facility Tour: Following the ceremony, guests are invited to tour the newly renovated facility and experience: Modern Recreation Amenities, Upgraded Community Spaces, Reserved Historic Features, and Future Programming Opportunities.
