We’re starting off our 2026 camping season at the beautiful Fort Valley Ranch Campground, located in the Shenandoah Valley—and yes, they offer horseback riding too! ?

? Reservations Info

The VA Voyagers block is now open!
We have 15 spots available—reserve by January 24, 2026, to secure your place. You must put down a one night deposit when booking your reservation. 

Cancellation Policy Please Read: 
Before booking your stay, please review Fort Valley Ranch’s cancellation policy:

$45 cancellation fee per site or cabin applies to all reservations. 
30+ days before arrival: Deposit refunded minus the $45 fee. 
Within 30 days of arrival: Full deposit is forfeited. 
Policy applies for any reason. 
Guests are responsible for all reserved dates, even if leaving early.

Deposit required in order to grab a cabin for our campout.

Directions for guests with campers:

From Virginia Beach take I-64 West to highway 81 North, then take exit 279, follow signs for 675 east, then turn left on 11, turn right on 675 east to go through Edinburgh Gap Road and at Kings Crossing, turn right and then take an IMMEDIATE right onto South Fort Valley Road (at the fork). Continue about 1.5 miles to driveway on right.

If coming from the north on I-81, take exit 279, follow signs for 675 east, then turn left. Turn left on 11 (it may not be marked.. but it is the next intersection "T", then turn right on 675 east to go through Edinburgh Gap Road and at Kings Crossing, turn right and then take an IMMEDIATE right onto South Fort Valley Road (at the fork). Continue about 1.5 miles to driveway on right.

If you are contributing food to potlucks, please ensure the items are ready- to-serve, including utensils. If you'd like, share your intended contributions in discussion area.

Friday Evening Snack: Baked Potatoes & Salad Bar
Location: Pavilion

Contributions:
Danny: baked potatoes, butter, sour cream, bacon bits, and shredded cheese.
Bren: pulled pork for topping potatoes
Danny: lettuce, Hidden Valley Ranch salad dressing
Frances: tomatoes

Everyone is encouraged to bring additional toppings for the potatoes or ready-to-serve salad items.

Saturday Breakfast: Pancakes Plus
Location: Pavilion

Contributions:
VV/Bren: pancakes and bacon
Frances: corned beef hash
Erika and Matt: eggs

We ask that everyone bring a breakfast ingredient. If it needs to be cooked, please deliver it to Pavilion one hour before breakfast.

Saturday Dinner: Potluck & Cooking Competition
Location: Pavilion

Danny: hot dogs, buns, ketchup, and mustard
Frances: bean dish
Danny (Contest): smoked cream cheese and Ritz crackers
Joe (Contest): cowboy rancho beans

We ask that everyone bring a dish for the potluck and/or enter the cooking contest. There are no restrictions on contest entries other than that they are "country cooking themed".
