- **Event Description**: Western Arkansas Ballet announces the 40th Annual performance of The Nutcracker, Saturday, December 13 at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, December 14 at 2:00 p.m.   Artistic Director, Jared Mesa, leads the cast that brings the classic holiday ballet journeying to the Land of Sweets to life.  The cast includes over 115 local children and adults and is joined by WAB alumnus and River Valley native, Kelsey Corder dancing in the role of the Sugar Plum Fairy.  Kelsey is a professional, freelance dancer.   Casey Kelley, a professional dancer with American Midwest Ballet, accompanies her as the Cavalier.  The Sugar Plum Fairy, the benevolent ruler of the Kingdom of Sweets, greets Clara and the Nutcracker Prince upon their entry during Act II of the ballet. She and her Cavalier perform the grand pas de deux, the culmination of this holiday ballet. The Nutcracker proves to be a magical event for all who attend; get your tickets today! 

The talented dancers and cast of Western Arkansas Ballet perform The Nutcracker Saturday, December 13 at 7:00 PM and Sunday, December 14 at 2:00 P.M., Performances take place at the ArcBest Corporation Performing Arts Center at 55 South 7th Street, Fort Smith. Tickets are available for purchase at www.waballet.org or by calling out ticketing partner, TutuTix, at 1.855.222.2849.  

Adult tickets are available for $35. Child and student tickets (with a valid student ID) are available for $20. Please call 479.785.0152 for more information regarding the performance.
