This meeting will explore current research centered on how exposure to algal toxins can contribute to the onset of dementia and examine approaches to protect against exposure and neurotoxicity.

Keynote speaker Dr. David Davis from the University of Miami Brain Endowment Bank will discuss peer-reviewed research examining Alzheimer’s disease–associated biomarkers in dolphins and their correlation with exposure to cyanobacterial toxins.
