This interactive continuing education workshop explores the intersection of play therapy, stress regulation, and clinician resilience through a heart-health lens. Participants will examine the neurobiological and physiological impact of chronic stress on children and helping professionals, including implications for emotional regulation and long-term cardiovascular wellness.
Clinicians will learn evidence-informed, developmentally appropriate play therapy strategies that promote nervous system regulation and resilience in children and adolescents. In addition, the workshop integrates experiential exercises designed to increase clinician self-awareness, reduce occupational stress, and support sustainable, heart-healthy professional practice.
Grounded in play therapy theory, neuroscience, and stress physiology, this training strengthens both clinical skill and practitioner longevity.

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
1.	Identify at least three neurobiological effects of chronic stress on emotional regulation in children and adults.
2.	Apply at least two play therapy interventions that promote nervous system regulation in clinical practice.
3.	Differentiate between child stress activation and clinician stress activation within play therapy settings.
4.	Develop one individualized, evidence-informed strategy to enhance clinician resilience and reduce occupational stress for play therapists.

The presenter for this workshop is Tara Moser, LCSW, RPT-S, CAAIS. Tara is the owner of Delta Family Counseling in Fort Myers, FL where she sees kids 2 and up as well as specializes in working with First Responders. Tara's experiential focus  is a passion that brings her to teaching workshops and offering supervision and consultation. 

This workshop is a non-contact CE for APT credit and live zoom for Florida 491 with 2 CE's awarded for those who attend the workshop and complete the post test/evaluation. 

Delta Family Counseling is approved by the Florida Department of Health under Fl Statute 49I to offer continuing education for Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists and Mental Health Counselors. Provider Number BAP-50-30047 expires 03/31/2027. APT Approved Provider #10-286.
